Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Marat Sergeevich Markov held a meeting with Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Kaluga Region Pavel Aleksandrovich Suslov
The head of the Belarusian ministry noted that over the past few years, joint projects of our country and the Kaluga Region have been implemented in the fields of education, theatre arts, folk creativity, library science, and festival movements. Exchange tours, competitions are held, and ensembles take part in landmark cultural events of the two countries.
Marat Sergeevich Markov proposed expanding cooperation and giving it a systematic character.
A confirmation of successful cooperation was the gala concert held the other day at the Belarusian State Philharmonic, featuring artists of the Kaluga Regional Philharmonic and the Imperial Russian Ballet.
Pavel Aleksandrovich Suslov expressed interest in cooperation between the Imperial Russian Ballet and the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. He also invited filmmakers of our country to take part in the International Film Festival of Films and Programmes about Space "Tsiolkovsky", which is traditionally held in Kaluga and has the status of a unique platform where art and scientific knowledge meet.
